At the Sittings of RA NA Standing Committees

On September 8 the sittings of RA NA Standing Committees were held.

At the sitting of RA NA Standing Committee on Social Affairs presided over Hakob Hakobyan the legislative package on Temporary Disability, on Amending the RA Law on Income Tax and on Amending the RA Law on Compulsory Social Security Payments.

The debated legislative package will be indorsed and included in the agenda drafts in the NA session and upcoming four-day sittings.

The debated bill on Amending the RA Law on Entering into Force the Judicial Code will be included in the NA session and upcoming four-day sittings.

As a result of the debate on Making Amendments to RA Law on State Pensions and on Making Amendments and Addenda to RA Law on Social Security of the Military Servicemen the committee

Debates of a number of draft laws were delayed up to 30 and 60 days.

The NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport presided over by Artak Davtyan was held, four draft laws from about two dozens were debated; the debate of the other bills were delayed by the authors’ proposal.

The Committee endorsed the legislative package on Amending the RA Law on National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia and on Scientific and Scientific-Technical Activity to be included in the agenda draft law of the NA autumn session.

The committee debated in the first reading the legislative initiative by the deputy Samvel Nikoyan on Making Addendum on Holidays and Memorial Days of the Republic of Armenia, by which the author proposed to celebrate the Teacher’s Day on October 5, which as Teacher’s World Day as a Teacher’s Holiday and Specialized Holiday of the Workers’ of the Whole Educational Sphere was founded by UNESCO in 1994.

The Committee will include the endorsement of the bill in the draft laws of the NA autumn session and upcoming four-day sittings.

The Committee will endorse the legislative initiative by the deputies Hovik Abrahamyan and Karen Avagyan on Making Addenda and Amendment to the Law on General Education on the draft agendas of the NA autumn session and upcoming four-day sittings.

The Committee will endorse the debated package of the draft laws on Making Addenda to the RA Law on Advertisement, on the Protection of the Consumers’ Rights and Making Addenda and Amendment in the Code of the Republic of Armenia on Administrative Infringements submitted by the deputies Lilit Galstyan, Vahan Hovhannisyan, Artsvik Minasyan, Ara Nranyan, Ruzanna Arakelyan, Artyush Shahbazyan and include it in the draft law agenda of the NA upcoming four-day sittings.

By the proposal of the deputy Anahit Bakhshyan the committee decided to organize working debates for the debate of the received proposals as a result of the parliamentary hearings, which were held on the problems of the senior schools.
