On July 14 the Head of RA NA delegation in OSCE PA Aram Safaryan, members of the delegation Artak Davtyan and Khchik Harutyunyan in the press conference presented the results of the OSCE 19^th session, which took place in the capital of Norway, Oslo on July 6-10.

According to Aram Safaryan, RA NA delegation has been presented in three committees: “Our parliamentarian Artak Davtyan introduced the draft resolution, which relates to the global energy security, which was unanimously adopted and included in the Oslo Declaration.

I would like to say in other committees there was lively struggle also among Azerbaijani deputies, which, as we, had addenda and editions on the three resolutions of the declaration.

Our proposals of principle that three of us made, being united with the deputies, have been put for voting and were included in the resolution adopted in the Political Committee, and no correction and addendum in that resolution were not included in that resolution.” According to Aram Safaryan, “The Azerbaijani delegates are already the second year, as last year in Vilnius, this year in Oslo tried to advance the problem of the territorial integrity.”

The Head of RA NA delegation in OSCE noted that the last day, in his words, a political provocation was held: “The text of the interview as if given by the President of OSCE Parliamentary Assembly to the BBC Azerbaijani Service, where impermissible expressions were on the solution of the Karabakh issue.”

In response, Aram Safaryan made a statement in the name of our delegation, noting: “We think that all the phases of the conflict settlement, which are composed in the statement of the presidents of the Co-Chair countries, have absolutely equal force, and the denial from at least the fulfillment of one item of them is equal to the denial of the settlement plan as a whole.”

Artak Davtyan emphasized the united work of the members of RA NA delegation in OSCE.

Khachik Harutyunyan noted that forum participants personally said that the parliamentary elections, which took place in NKR, were held in accordance with international standards.

The participants of the press conference answered the journalists’ numerous questions.
