On May 8, the regular meeting of the Ad-Hoc Inquiry Committee into the events occurred on March 1-2, 2008 in Yerevan and their reasons with a view of submitting its conclusion to the National Assembly, was held, presided over by Mr. Samvel Nikoyan. There was only one issue on its agenda – discussions of the objections of Mr. Vahagn Harutyunyan the head of the Special Investigation Service Investigation Group of the Republic of Armenia, by the fact-finding group on the results of the investigations of Hamlet Tadevosyan’s death.
Mr. Vahagn Harutyunyan the head of the Special Investigation Service Investigation Group of the Republic of Armenia, Mr. Artur Hovhannisyan, Deputy Head of Criminal Police Office of Forensic department of the Republic of Armenia and Mr. Vigen Adamyan, from the Ministry of Healthcare were invited to the meeting.
Mr. Vahagn Harutyunyan said that they have presented their objections to the add hoc committee, related to the investigations of the fact finding group in written form so there was no need to present it in detail.
Mr. Vahagn Harutyunyan the head of the Special Investigation Service Investigation Group of the Republic of Armenia answered the questions of the members of the committee, which were mainly related to the circumstances of Hamlet Harutyunyan’s death.
The committee finished the work of the regular meeting.
