Report of Budget Office on Work Done in the Second Quarter of 2022 Presented

During the second quarter of 2022 the Budget Office received 17 interpellations, 7 out of which from the deputies and 10 – from the Standing Committees. During the first half of the year 54 interpellations were received, 22 out of which from the deputies, 5 – from the factions and 27 – from the Standing Committees. 279 kinds of certificates were prepared during the first half of the year based on the received interpellations. During the first half of the year 2022, the brief description of the annual report on the RA State Budget for 2021, as well as the brief description of the information on the RA State Budget execution of the first quarter of the year 2022 were prepared. The Coordinating Expert of the Budget Office Gagik Barseghyan said about this at September 5 sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs, presenting the report of the Budget Office on the work done in the second quarter of the year 2022.

In the context of the report on the RA State Budget Execution for 2021, the Budget Office prepared certificates on the financial, non-financial indices established for 28 budgetary chief executors by the RA State Budgets for 2018-2021, as well as 61 observations and interpellations were prepared, which were provided to the deputies of the National Assembly and the profile Standing Committees, according to their activities.

Coordinating with the NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs, with the assistance of the UN Modern Parliament for a Modern Armenia (MAP) Project three workshops were organized, where the deputies, the experts of the Standing Committees and Factions, the assistants to the deputies and the employees of the NA Staff took part. The experts of the Budget Office visited the Budget Sphere Committee and Budget Office, Fiscal Council, Budgetary Programmes Assessment Office and Supreme Audit body of Parliament of Austria, where the analyses being made by the Budget Office, their methodology and the rendered services, the control function of the Fiscal Council were studied, got acquainted with the methodology and analyses of the budgetary programme assessment. As Gagik Barseghyan presented, the Staff of the Budget Office is engaged with the process of the implementation and monitoring of the strategy of the reforms of the financial management system for 2019-2023. The Office submitted relevant information on monitoring to the Ministry of Finance.

The RA NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs approved the annual schedule of the citizens’ reception for 2022-2023.
