On September 1-4, issues related to the code of conduct and ethics for the employees of the Parliaments of francophone countries and the effectiveness of their use were discussed during the conference of the Association of Secretaries General of Francophone Parliaments in Rabat, the capital of Morocco. The delegation led by Vahan Naribekyan, RA NA Chief of Staff, Secretary General, participated in the conference.
The work started with a welcome speech by the Secretary General of the House of Representatives of the Kingdom of Morocco. Then the protocol of the session held last year in Côte d'Ivoire was presented.
The Secretaries General of the French National Assembly and the Parliament of the Republic of Congo, the Deputy Leader of the Canadian House of Commons gave a speech related to the theme Bicameralism and the Relations between the Two Houses.
After the speeches, the Secretaries General present at the conference presented the experience of their countries, a discussion on the best practices and existing challenges was held.
The Secretaries General of the Parliament of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, the National Assembly of Quebec and the Ethics Officer of the French National Assembly referred to the theme the Code of Ethics and Conduct for Parliamentarians and Parliament Staff in their speeches.
