On March 30, the RA NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs, chaired by Vladimir Vardanyan, debated in the second reading the package of draft laws on Making Addenda to the Code of Administrative Procedure of the Republic of Armenia and the related ones authored by the Government at the sitting, by which the tax authority can also apply to the Administrative Court, on cases of receiving confidential information protected by law in the banks and other financial organizations on the basis of the assumed commitments under the international agreements ratified by the RA. According to one of the provisions, the Administrative Court sends the judicial act to the tax authority and notifies the persons about whom the judicial act has been made, except when the tax authority has mentioned in the application the need not to notify the persons, stating that it may hinder a foreign competent body in the successful implementation of its functions.
The RA Chairperson of the State Revenue Committee Tsovinar Soghomonyan noted that after the first reading, the Government submitted editorial and technical proposals, which were adopted.
Highlighting the adoption of the package, the co-rapporteur Artur Davtyan urged his colleagues to vote in favor of it.
As a result of debate, the legislative package was endorsed.
