On March 9 and 10, the group of experts from the Hellenic and Italian Parliaments held seminars and a workshop for the representatives of the RA National Assembly Staff.
Issues related to the European experience of parliamentary control, revision of the legislation, mechanisms for assessing the impact of laws in European countries, and a number of other ones were at the core of the discussion. During this seminar aimed at promoting the fulfilment of commitments related to the RA EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA), special attention was paid to the issues on the improvement of the works of the NA Standing Committees.
This year, that was already the second series of seminars within the framework of the EU Twinning Project “Strengthening of Capacity of the RA National Assembly to Further Support the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA) Oversight and Implementation.” The project funded by the European Union was launched in December 2020. It contributes to the implementation of the parliamentary key functions of the National Assembly more effectively.
It is planned to hold the next workshop in late March, during which the deputies and the experts from the Czech Parliament will also join the Greek and Italian experts.
