The Secretary of the NA With Honor Faction Hayk Mamijanyan, referring to the journalist’s question during the parliamentary briefings following the NA regular sittings, spoke about the ongoing military operations in Ukraine and the responses of the Armenian side on that issue.
According to him, the Republic of Armenia, as a country that has seen the horrors of war, is against any war and victims. Regarding the reactions of the Armenian side, the deputy has expressed an opinion that still today, the Armenian side has not been able to be a predictable ally and partner for any country in the region.
Hayk Mamijanyan referred to the steps taken to ensure the security of our compatriots in the Diaspora, particularly in Ukraine. He considered inadmissible the decision to replace the Ministry of Diaspora with the Institute of Commissioners for Diaspora Affairs. The deputy stated that he did not see the involvement of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs in the process of ensuring the security of our compatriots conditioned by the situation created in Ukraine in any way, as well as ensuring their transfer. The Secretary of the faction noted that in the near future the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs should be invited to the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations to present the results of his activities, after which he would refer to the issue more objectively.
