On October 29 RA NA President Artur Baghdasaryan received the members of the central board of the Ramkavar Liberal Party, who are in Armenia on the occasion of the 120th anniversary of Armenakan Party.
Welcoming the members representing the institutions of different countries of Ramkavar Liberal party, NA President Artur Baghdasaryan highlighted the activation of the work of the Armenian representation of the party and the participation of Armenia in the process of reforms. At the guests’ request the Parliament President informed about the important events of political and economic life: he noted that the draft of the constitutional reforms has already been put for referendum being adopted in the parliament, the draft law of 2006 state budget is being debated in the National Assembly, and for the first time, the expenditure part of the budget of Armenia crossed the threshold of 1bn USD, which testifies about the development of economy. He also noted that in line with positive developments there are defective phenomena too: corruption and bribery, against which we must effectively fight with the improvement of the legislative field.
Harutiun Arakelyan, the Chairman of the Armenian Ramkavar Liberal Party (ARLP), Asatur Dovlatyan, Co-Chairman of the Central Board of the Ramkavar Liberal Party, other members of the central board highlighted in their speech the strengthening of the relations with Armenia. They noted that in 2006 the regular congress of the party will be convened in Athens, which will define the future works and cooperation directions.
During the meeting they discussed other issues of mutual importance.
