On June 25 Chairman of NA Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs Mr. Hrayr Karapetyan and committee member deputies visited the republican mobilization point for getting acquainted with recruitment process.

The representatives of media and NGOs also participated in the visit.

The deputies of the National Assembly met the officer and medical staff of mobilization point, talked with the draftees and their parents to know if there are complaints concerning the recruitment and suggestions for making it more efficient.

During the interview with media Mr. Karapetyan noted with satisfaction that spring recruitment goes on according to scheduled procedure. He became convinced after talking to draftees and their parents that they realize the necessity and importance of serving for fatherland and keeping the borders of the country impregnable.

In the end he added that the committee is aimed to cooperate with different circles of defensive department, to get acquainted with their problems, if necessary to initiate legislative amendments for making the activities of the armed forces more effective.
