“I’m glad to greet you in the National Assembly, I’m also glad that we have an occasion to organize regularly this wonderful event within the Kenats festival frameworks,” addressing the guests – the MPs, representatives of diplomatic corps, admirers of music of Yerevan, said the NA President Mr. Tigran Torosyan, adding, “I’m glad that we are meeting on the eve of the very important, perhaps, the most important holiday for us, on the eve of the Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia, which is of symbolic significance, because it unifies all of us and the high goals, that we have put before us, the problems that our country is going to solve. I think, it’s symbolic that here, taking part at this wonderful event, we show once again that we are ready together and we are certainly going to solve all those problems in order to have Armenia of our dreams, the Armenia, that dreamed our ancestors, the Armenia for the building of which numerous Armenian sons gave their life - the dearest thing.”

Mrs. Nina Hovnanyan, Director of the Armenian Agency for Tourism Development, opined that the concert organized for the fifth time is becoming traditional. On the eve of Independence Day the people are already waiting for the open-air concert. Mrs. Hovnanyan also handed over memorial cups to the concert sponsors.

The National Chamber Orchestra of Armenia headed by Aram Gharabekian made unforgettable and attractive indeed this day with its virtuoso performances for the spectators of the parliament park.

The works of Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Tigran Mansurian, Sergey Rakhmaninov, Gabriel Yeranian, Johannes Brahms, Frantz Lehar, Sayat-Nova, Astor Piazzola, Polina Viardo, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Edward Abrahamian, Stepan Shakarian, Charles Gounod performed by Nune Badalyan, Gayane Grigoryan, Marine Deinian attracted us in a peculiar way in the autumn evening. And it was not accidental that the President of the National Assembly Mr. Tigran Torosyan said: “Once again I would like to welcome  and congratulate everybody. I would like to say that the doors of the National Assembly are open before them. We can arrange such events more often. I would like to express my gratitude to the Kenats festival organizers. I would like to especially express my gratitude to Mrs. Nina Hovnanyan and certainly – to our wonderful musicians headed by Aram Gharabekian for giving us unforgettable moments during this wonderful evening.”
