On April 18, the Head of the NA Civil Contract Faction Hayk Konjoryan received the delegation led by the Vice Minister of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China Chen Zhou. The Deputy Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration Vagharshak Hakobyan and the MP Alkhas Ghazaryan also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the interlocutors underlined the centuries-old warm and friendly relations between the two countries, which have been developing regularly, especially in recent years.
The interlocutors highlighted the strengthening of inter-party and inter-parliamentary ties, as well as the deepening and rapprochement of cooperation in various trade-economic, educational and cultural spheres.
Mutual visits and contacts at the inter-party level were emphasized on both sides.
“Friendly and warm relations between Armenia and China have a centuries-old history. I am convinced that we have a huge unused potential and we can record much greater results both in the field of economic and political dialogue and cultural cooperation,” Hayk Konjoryan said in particular.
The Head of the Faction presented the Crossroads of Peace project initiated by Armenia to the Chinese guests, noting its strategic importance for the entire region.
At the end of the meeting, the Vice Minister of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China Chen Zhou expressed his gratitude for the warm reception, emphasized the deepening and expansion of multilateral cooperation in various dimensions.
