At May 20 sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Health Care and Social Affairs the initiative directed to the satisfaction of the employees’ social needs being social package beneficiary, the rise of the attractiveness of the work in the state bodies and the reduction of the flow of human resources from the state to private sector was debated. Amending the RA law on Remuneration of the Persons Holding State Positions and State Service Positions, the Government expands the framework of the social package services of the beneficiary persons.

As the key speaker, the RA Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Ruben Sargsyan informed, the means being allocated for the social package the beneficiaries could also address to covering the payment set for making use of the services of the state subsidy student’s loan, sport-health complexes, swimming pools and other sport organizations.

Increase of budget expenditures is not envisaged by passing the draft law.

It was noted that in the near future the beneficiary could also use the sum of money of the social package for dental services and for his/her child’s payment attending the paid kindergarten.

Assessing positive the initiative, the Committee Chair Narek Zeynalyan highlighted the increase of the new directions in the social package services: “as many will be the directions, so wide opportunities will have the beneficiaries in spending the money, which also will have positive impact on the economy.”

According to the speaker, the Government designs to expand the beneficiaries’ list: as a secondary beneficiary the notion Family members will be set. The Deputy Minister has underlined that at this moment high ranking officials are not included in the beneficiaries’ list.
