From October 31 to November 2 at the invitation of RA NA President Artur Baghdasaryan the Chairwoman of the Senate of the Belgian Kingdom Ann-Marie Lizin will be in Armenia with an official visit.
On October 31 in the National Assembly Mrs. Lizin will meet RA NA President Artur Baghdasaryan, Armenia-Belgium parliamentary friendship group, Armen Roustamyan, Chairman of NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations. The same day Garegin II, the Catholicos of All Armenians will receive Mrs. Lizin. The delegation will lay a wreath at the Tsitsernakaberd memorial to the victims of Genocide.
On November 1 the delegation of the Belgian Senate will take part at the solemn session dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the Armenian Parliament in the National Assembly and the forum “The Parliament and the Perspectives of Development of Parliamentary Systems in the Conditions of Democracy,” then – at the solemn session and festive concert at the A. Spendiarian Opera and Ballet National Academic Theatre.
The same day meetings are envisaged with RA President Robert Kocharyan, Prime Minister Andranik Margaryan, Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanyan, Ombudswoman Larisa Alaverdyan and the ambassadors of EU countries in Armenia.
On November 2 the delegation will leave for Brussels.
