On October 27, the RA National Assembly continued the work of the four-day sittings.
Before passing to the legislative work the deputies in one-minute silence honoured the memory of the political figures, who fell victims on October 27, 1999. The NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan particularly said: “Dear deputies, today is the 17th anniversary of the October tragedy. On October 27, 1999 the Speaker of the National Assembly Karen Demirchyan, the Prime Minister Vazgen Sargsyan, the Deputy Speakers of the National Assembly Yuri Bakhsyan and Ruben Miroyan, the Minister on Operative Issues Leonard Petrosyan, the deputies Armenak Armenakyan, Henrik Abrahamyan and Mikayel Kotanyan fell victims of the crime committed in the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.
I ask you to honour their memory in one-minute silence.”
The parliament by voting ratified the agreements debated on the previous day and passed the bills, after which continued the debate of the Protocol on Amending the Treaty of November 25, 1998 on Provision of Parallel Works of CIS Member States Energy Systems (with enclosed statement) signed in Ashgabad on May 30, 2012. The RA Deputy Minister of Energy Sub-Structures and Natural Resources Areg Galstyan continued answering the deputies’ questions.
Shirak Torosyan presented the endorsement of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations.
Areg Galstyan submitted the Agreement on Cooperation in the Sphere of Nuclear Energy Use for Peaceful Purposes between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the Republic of Belarus.
Vahe Enfiajyan presented the endorsement of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations on this Agreement.
Areg Galstyan in the first reading procedure submitted for debate the bill on Amending the RA Law on Energy.
The Deputy Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Mikayel Melkumyan submitted the endorsement of the Committee.
The First Deputy Head of the RA Police Hunan Poghosyan presented the Treaty on Inter-State Intelligence of the CIS Participant States, and Persons signed in Moscow on December 10, 2010.
The Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Artak Zakaryan presented the endorsement of the Committee.
Afterwards the parliament debated the Activity Programme of the Public Service Regulatory Commission (PSRC) for 2017 of the Republic of Armenia, which presented the Chairman of the Commission Robert Nazaryan.
The Deputy Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Mikayel Melkumyan submitted the endorsement of the Committee. He noted that the programme had been debated in detail in the Committee.
The National Assembly ended the work of the regular four-day sittings.
