On October 25, the parliament continued the work of the four-day sittings by voting passing the legislative initiatives debated on the previous day and ratifying the agreements.

By the NA Speaker’s proposal the deputies welcomed the students and the lecturers of Yerevan Valery Brusov State University of Linguistics and Social Sciences.

Afterwards the parliament in the first reading debated the package of bills on Amending the RA Law on RA Citizenship and on Amending the RA Code on Administrative Infringements, which submitted the RA Deputy Head of Police Vardan Yeghiazaryan.

The Member of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs Hayk Grigoryan presented the endorsement of the Committee.

The RA Deputy Minister of Finance Armen Hayrapetyan presented the Convention on Excluding the Double Taxation of Revenues and Property between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the Republic of Serbia signed in Yerevan on March 10, 2014.

The Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Artak Zakaryan presented the endorsement of the Committee.

Armen Hayrapetyan also presented the Agreement on Excluding the Double Taxation of Revenues and  Property and Preventing the Avoidance of Taxation between the Republic of Armenia and Slovakia signed in Bratislava on May 15, 2015.

The Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Artak Zakaryan presented the endorsement of the Agreement in the Committee.

Afterwards the deputies in the first reading debated the draft law on Amending the RA Law on Ecological Education and Upbringing of the Population authored by Ruzanna Muradyan.

The RA NA Deputy Speaker Hermine Naghdalyan has noted that the RA Government has no objections of principle and endorsed the draft law.

The Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport Artak Davtyan has noted that the legislative initiative presented endorsement in the Committee.

The NA Deputy Speaker Hermine Naghdalyan and the NA deputies emphasized the adoption of the legislative initiative and talked about its influence in ecological upbringing.

The Agreement on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters between the Republic of Armenia and the State of Kuwait signed in Yerevan on March 23, 2016 submitted by the RA Deputy Minister of Justice Vigen Kocharyan was debated.

Afterwards the RA Deputy Minister of Justice submitted for debate the Treaty on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters between the Republic of Armenia and the People’s Republic of China signed in Beijing on March 25, 2015.

The Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Artak Zakaryan presented the endorsement of the Committee on the documents.

Vigen Kocharyan also presented the Protocol 16 to the Convention on the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms.

The debate of the issue will continue at October 26 sitting.
