On October 3, the RA National Assembly began the work of the next four-day sittings.

Within the NA Open Doors programme upon the proposal of the RA NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan the deputies welcomed the American Armenian and foreign doctors, who arrived in Armenia with free medical aid showing mission to the Armenian people by the RA Honorary Consulate of California and the Armenian community of Fresno and visited the parliament and were observing the sitting.

Afterwards the parliament approved the draft agendas of the session, and also of the four-day sittings.

The deputies by voting passed the legislative package On Approving the Annual Report of 2015 of the State Property Privatization Fulfillment for 2006-2007 and ratified the Agreement on Mutual Abolishment Requirement of Visa Regime between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Macau Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China.

The parliament in the second reading debated the draft law On Amending the RA Law on Local Duties and Payments, in the third reading the draft law the RA Tax Land.

The RA First Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Development Vache Terteryan presented the draft law on Amending the RA Law on Advocacy.

The Chair of the RA NA Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs Elinar Vardanyan presented the endorsement of the Committee.

Vache Terteryan presented the draft law on Amending the RA Criminal-Executive Code.

The Member of the RA NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs Hayk Grigoryan presented the endorsement of the Committee.

Vache Terteryan submitted for debate in the first reading the package on Amending the RA Law on Amending the RA Law on Archive and the enclosed draft laws.

The RA First Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Development answered the MPs’ questions, which related to the organization of the archive, the preservation of the archives, the investment of the electronic technologies in the system, the accessibility of the documents, the tariffs of the documents’ copies, the spheres of the archive materials, etc.

Vahram Mkrtchyan presented the endorsement of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs.

The deputies Mikayel Melkumyan, Vahe Enfiajyan and Tevan Poghosyan delivered speeches on the package.

In his final speech Vache Terteryan touched upon the deputies’ questions and gave clarifications.

Afterwards in the first reading parliament debated the draft law on Amending the RA Law on Refugees and Asylum.

Vahram Mkrtchyan presented the endorsement of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs.

Vache Terteryan in the first reading debated the law on Amending the RA Civil Code and the enclosed legislative package.
