On May 17, the RA NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov took part in the opening of the international training course on the theme “The Participation of the Civil Society Organizations (CSO) at the Decision-Making Processes in Armenia.” The NA deputies, representatives of the CSOs and others also took part in the event.
Welcoming the participants of the course Eduard Sharmazanov highlighted the initiative in terms of development of the state and people and, in general, the dissemination of the European, Christian and democratic system of values. The NA Deputy Speaker has thanked the CSO for such initiative which is directed at the dissemination of democratic values in Armenia.
The NA Deputy Speaker has noted that in the 21st century there are many challenges: both inner and external.
“Be sure that we can more successfully solve those challenges, we can more successfully confront those challenges, if we in reality develop and strengthen the democratic values in Armenia,” Mr Sharmazanov said.
He has stated that Armenia is a part of all-human, Christian, European and democratic system of values: there won’t be an alternative to democratic values in our country. To Mr Sharmazanov's conviction, Armenia’s 25-year old independent generation will only live with democratic values and in this context he has evaluated the role of the civil society and similar organizations. He has expressed conviction that the National Assembly is ready to promote the development of democracy in Armenia, assist the implementation of similar events. In this context the NA Deputy Speaker has opined that if the Civil Society and the Committees of the Parliament are always connected with each other at the level of solution of both legislative and political problems, there will not be any barrier between the citizens and the political forces.
