On February 23, the Chairman of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Artak Zakaryan, the Deputy Chairman Alexander Arzumanyan, members of the Committee Tevan Poghosyan, Karen Bekaryan, Vahe Enfiajyan, Artashes Geghamyan received Sergey Manassarian, the RA Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the People’s Republic of China.

Congratulating the Ambassador on the occasion of his appointment, the MPs expressed confidence that it would promote the further development of the relations between the two countries. During the talk the deputies were interested in the issues connected with the Ambassador’s upcoming activities, distinguishing the necessity of the development of the existing cooperation in the economic, political and humanitarian-cultural spheres.

The Ambassador presented the programmes directed to the development of the cooperation between the two countries. Sergey Manassarian has agreed that there is a great potential of deepening of cooperation in different spheres between Armenia and China and assured that he will do his best to contribute to the development of the Armenian-Chinese parliamentary relations. He has noted that there is an implemented work and cooperation between the parliamentary Committees and Friendship Groups.

Artak Zakaryan has stated that the NA Standing Committee is always ready to support the RA Embassy in all its upcoming initiatives. He has also underlined that all parliamentary political forces highlight the continuous development of the Armenian-Chinese relations in all possible spheres.
