On November 18 within the framework of the Open Doors programme of the National Assembly the pupils and the teachers of the Secondary Schools of Tumanyan, Marts, Karinj Communities of Lori Marz visited the parliament.
The schoolchildren of the Marz visited the parliament by the support of the Children of Armenia Fund within the framework of the Rural Community Development Programme.
The visitors took a tour in the building of the legislative body, attended the budgetary debate going on in the Session Hall and observed the deputies’ work.
Then NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov met with them and conducted the open lesson. The deputy Karen Saribekyan also attended the parliamentary open lesson.
Welcoming the pupils, the Deputy Speaker talked about patriotic upbringing, education, national way of thinking and moral values.
During the meeting in warm and sincere atmosphere the pupils addressed questions concerning them to Eduard Sharmazanov, and he gladly answered them. The questions mainly related to emigration, the communities enlargement pilot programme, tension at the border and the Constitutional Amendments procedure.
At the end of the visit the pupils have been taken photo with the NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov at the Session Hall of the National Assembly.
