On November 6 the Deputy Speaker of the RA National Assembly Eduard Sharmazanov being on a working visit in Minsk, after taking part in the swearing in ceremony of the President of the Republic of Belarus, had a private talk with Vladimir Andreychenko, the Speaker of the RB NA House of Representatives.

The parties discussed issues regarding the further development of inter-parliamentary cooperation. They highlighted the cooperation at international parliamentary platforms, particularly, in the CSTO Parliamentary and the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assemblies.

Both parties emphasized the rapprochement of the cooperation within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union. Eduard Sharmazanov has noted that despite many challenges, the membership of Armenia to the Eurasian Economic Union was justified.

The Speaker of the RB NA House of Representatives reaffirmed the invitation of the official visit of the delegation led by the RA NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan to Belarus.

Touching upon the problems of the regional security, the NA Deputy Speaker highlighted the necessity of the exclusively peaceful settlement of the conflicts, condemning any attempt of its solution through military means.

Eduard Sharmazanov expressed his gratitude to Vladimir Andreychenko for assisting in erecting the khachkar, eternalizing the memory of the Armenian soldiers, who died for the liberation of the Brest Castle in the Great Patriotic War.

The NA Deputy Speaker proposed to hold the 10^th sitting of the Inter-Parliamentary Committee on Cooperation between the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia and the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus in Yerevan in spring of the coming year.
