On July 8 the RA NA President Galust Sahakyan received Gonzalo Urriolabeitia, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Argentine Republic to the RA.

Congratulating Mr Urriolabeitia on the occasion of assuming the post of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Argentina to Armenia, Galust Sahakyan wished him success. The NA President has highlighted the effective work of the Friendship Groups formed in the parliaments of the two countries, which promote the deepening of bilateral cooperation. The Head of the Parliament highly assessed the warm attitude shown by the authorities towards the Armenian community in Argentina. Touching upon the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide, Galust Sahakyan has underlined that the contribution of the Argentine Republic in the process of the Armenian Genocide recognition and condemnation was big. The Head of the Parliament informed that a platform of international cooperation “The Parliaments against Genocide” had been initiated by the RA NA, and in its formation he highlighted the participation of the representatives of the parliaments of all countries.

Thanking for the warm reception the Ambassador of Argentina Gonzalo Urriolabeitia noted that with his activity he will promote the deepening of cooperation between the two parliaments, the rapprochement and the activation of mutual visits of the Armenian-Argentina Friendship Groups.
