On May 27 at the joint sitting of the RA NA Standing Committees on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs and on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs moderated by Elinar Vardanyan and Gagik Minasyan the execution sheet of the financial means and expenditures allocated to the staff of the RA Human Rights Defender in 2014 was debated.
The RA Deputy Minister of Finance-Chief Treasurer Atom Janjughazyan presented the financial indicators of the sphere.
The RA Human Rights Defender (HRD) Karen Andreasyan introduced the implemented programmes and informed that the HRD office received 6326 applications during the financial year.
On the same day at the joint sitting of the RA NA Standing Committees on Foreign Relations and on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs which was moderated by Shirak Torosyan and Gagik Minasyan, the RA Deputy Minister of Finance-Chief Treasurer Atom Janjughazyan and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Manasaryan presented the executive sheet of the membership payments to the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs and, in particular, to the international organizations.
At the joint sitting of the RA NA Standing Committees on European Integration and on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs which was moderated by Naira Zohrabyan and Gagik Minasyan, the deputies debated the report of the executive sheet on the incomes and expenditures designed in the European integration.
The RA Deputy Minister of Finance-Chief Treasurer Atom Janjughazyan and the RA Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Karen Nazaryan presented the expenditures and programmes in the European integration.
Karen Nazaryan has noted that the EU continues to remain one of the RA most important counterparts, and Armenia is ready to continue the cooperation with the EU which goes on in different directions. Since November 2014 debates with the EU were held in forming a new legal frame regulating the RA-EU relations. A protocol was signed on the common principles of the RA to the EU programmes which came into force in March 2014. In terms of liberalization of entry visas it was noted that from January 2014 the agreements on visa facilitation and readmission signed with the EU entered into force from January 2014. By the decision of the RA Government, the EU all citizens are exempted from entry visas to Armenia from January 2013. It is expected in future to begin a dialogue for the RA citizens over the problem of visiting the EU countries without visa.
