The message by the President of the RA National Assembly reads: “I congratulate the employees of the museums, the specialists of the museum work and all art lovers on International Museum Day.
The museums assumed a role of peculiar guard of history and culture implement a mission which never loses its importance. Keeping values they are valuable as centres of culture which hopefully store the time and memory, art and craft, the power of thought and hand.
In the biographies of states and peoples the museums have a significant role, connecting the past and the present, bridging with the future. They are peculiar chroniclers with the collections of exhibits, findings and art works, which begin to talk through the devoted work of the museum employees and specialists of museum work. Due to the latter the contact of the art lover, the museum visitor with the history and culture becomes sincere and perceptive: work which is unreservedly worth the highest assessment.
Congratulating you on this cultural holiday, I wish there is no lack of visitors ever, and that the museums be compiled with new exhibits, and the people, who are devoted to the museum work, continue their grateful work in more peaceful, more welfare and more dignified conditions.”
