On March 21 in the National Assembly the second meeting of the Armenian-Russian Friendship Parliamentary Club was held.
Vyacheslav Kovalenko, Responsible Secretary of the Club from the Russian Federation (RF), former Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the RF to the RA expressed conviction that the Club could be the structure and the platform, where the parliamentarians could together debate issues of mutual interest and joint programmes within the framework of the Eurasian Integration process.
The Armenian and the Russian MPs discussed a number of issues related to the agenda, the activities of the club, as well as organizational issues. They touched upon perspectives of the development of parliamentary cooperation, highlighted the deepening of bilateral relations between the two countries in different spheres, particularly, in humanitarian, educational and cultural spheres. At the meeting the participants also touched upon the situation in Ukraine.
An agreement was reached to submit proposals on the theme of the next meeting agenda.
