46th PABSEC Bureau and the 39th Standing Committee Meetings Held

Before the 39th Plenary Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) to be held in Yerevan on May 23-24 the 46th PABSEC Bureau Meeting was held in the RA National Assembly on May 22.

At the Bureau Meeting, which was presiding over the NA Speaker Samvel Nikoyan, after the adoption of the agenda the Protocol of the 45th PABSEC Session, which was held in Tirana on November 21, 2011, the procedure of the works of the PABSEC 39th Session.

A number of financial issues regarding the PABSEC were discussed, and a Report on the activity of the Parliamentary Assembly was heard.

Issues of the venue and the agenda of the next 47th Bureau Meeting were discussed at the Meeting.

On the same day the 39th Meeting of the PABSEC Standing Committee was also held. After the adoption of the agenda the Protocol of the 38th Meeting of the Standing Committee, which was held in Istanbul on February 21, 2012, the issue of the new mandates was revised, as well as the issue of granting Observer status with the PABSEC to the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy was also discussed.

The issue of granting the Observer with the PABSEC the Parliamentary Union of the Member States of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) was discussed.

Reports on participation by the PABSEC representatives in other international gatherings were also heard.

Issues regarding the activity of the 2012 Second quarter of the PABSEC committees, as well as reports on the activity of Financial-Audit Committee and Parliamentary Assembly were discussed.

It has been six years that Armenia presides in the PABSEC.
