Standing Committee of the RA National Assembly on Agriculture and Environment

At the February 3 sitting the Standing Committee guaranteed to include the RA draft law “On Preservation of the Plants Sorts,” with the package in the agenda of the session with endorsement.

At the sitting the deputies also approved three draft laws concerning the sphere of agriculture, which will be submitted to the adoption in the second reading.

The initiative of the government on amending the RA Law “On Consumption Corporation” has been edited by the deputies’ proposals.

The bill on amending the RA Law “On Organic Agriculture” has also been changed after the first reading.

At the sitting Committee Deputy Chairman was elected Vahe Enfiajyan, NA Prosperous Armenia faction deputy.

RA NA Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs

At the February 3 sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee moderated by Aram Safaryan it was decided to postpone up to 30 days the debate of the legislative package “On Amending the RA Family Code,” “On Amending the RA Civil Code,” “On Amending the RA Electoral Code,” “On Amending the RA Labor Code,” “On Amending the RA Criminal Code” and “On Amending the RA Civil Procedure Code,” and up to 90 days the debate of the bills’ package on Amending the RA Law “On Freedom of Conscience and Religious Organizations” and “On Amending the RA Criminal Code.”

RA NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs

At the February 3 sitting moderated by Davit Harutyunyan the committee debated the legislative initiative “On Amending the RA Law “Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly” in the first reading procedure.

The Committee also decided to postpone up to 15 days the debates of the legislative package “On Amending the RA Law on Parties,” “On Amending the RA Law on Administrative Infringements,” “On Amending the Civil Code” and the bill “On Amending the RA Criminal Code.”

RA NA Standing Committee on Health Care, Maternity and Childhood

The Committee moderated by Ara Babloyan debated in the second reading the bill “On Amending the RA Law on Preventing the Illness Caused by the Human Immune Deficiency Virus (HIV).” The debated bill will be included in the draft agenda of the NA four-day sittings with endorsement.

The debate of a number draft laws was postponed by the authors’ proposal up to 60 days.

RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations

The Committee presided over by Armen Rustamyan debated the Convention “On Protection of Individuals in case of Automated Elaborating of Personal Data” signed in Strasbourg on January 28, 1981.

Artur Osikyan also presented the amendments made in the Convention “On Protection of Individuals in case of Automated Elaborating of Personal Data” approved in Strasbourg on June 15, 1999.

The RA Deputy Head of the Police also presented the additional protocol on supervising bodies and trans-border streams of the Convention “On Protection of Individuals in case of Automated Elaborating of Personal Data” signed in Strasbourg on November 8, 2001.

The Committee debated in the second reading the package of bills “On Amending the RA Land Code,” “On Amending the RA Civil Code” and “On Amending the RA Law on Land Tax.” The debated bill with the endorsement will be included in the draft agenda of the NA four-day sittings.

The draft law of the announcement “On Recognizing as Genocide Azerbaijan ’s Crimes towards Armenians during 1988-1994” submitted by the NA deputy Larisa Alaverdyan was postponed up to 15 days.
