On March 21 the official visit of the delegation led by the Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Croatia Luka Bebić to the Republic of Armenia began.
In the parliament a tête-à-tête meeting was held between RA National Assembly Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan and the Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Croatia Luka Bebić.
Greeting the Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Croatia the NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan thanked for accepting his invitation and visiting Armenia on an official visit. To the NA Speaker’s conviction, Mr Bebić’s visit would promote the activation of the bilateral ties, the development of the inter-parliamentary relations. Hovik Abrahamyan highlighted the cooperation with Croatia in the political, economic, cultural and other spheres.
Expressing his gratitude for warm reception the Head of the Croatian Parliament also considered necessary the activation of cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries, as in his opinion, the parliaments had big role in developing the inner-state relations. Mr Bebić noted that in the morning he had visited the Genocide Complex and was impressed by what he had seen. In his word, the Armenian and Croatian peoples has a lot of historical common features.
In the course of the meeting the sides discussed issues of bilateral interest, highlighted the deepening of cooperation in the international structures, the role of the parliamentary diplomacy in the development of bilateral relations.
