During the meeting of September 20 with a group of Armenian Diaspora, Hranush Hakobyan, the Chairwoman of the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture and Youth introduced the work carried out during the 15 years of independence, the functions of state bodies of the country, particularly those of the legislative body, the economic and political situation of the country and the cultural events. Mrs. Hakobyan touched upon the issue of preserving the Armenian identity, strengthening relations with the Diaspora and answered to their questions.
Shortly the meeting was turned into a sincere conversation, and our compatriots, who arrived from different countries, expressed satisfaction about the positive changes in our country during the last years, as well as expressed their concern about certain shortcomings in the educational sphere. They shared their thoughts about the development perspectives of the country, particularly about the effective perspective of developing tourism and the high-tech sphere.
