On March 1, the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Sargis Khandanyan met with the Konrad Adenauer Foundation scholarship recipient group of international students.
Welcoming the guests in the Parliament, Sargis Khandanyan highly appreciated the activity of the Foundation, the projects implemented with the various state bodies, the educational programmes.
The Chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations thanked the scholarship recipients of the foundation representing various German universities for their interest in Armenia.
He presented the situation created as a result of the war unleashed by Azerbaijan on September 27, 2020, the security problems of the region, also talking about Armenia's efforts to establish stable peace in the region, including the Crossroads of Peace initiative.
According to Sargis Khandanyan, after the Velvet Revolution of 2018, Armenia has adopted democracy as a strategy and spares no effort in establishing and strengthening democratic values in the country.
The students asked Sargis Khandanyan questions related to the RA’s foreign policy, regional security, the possible settlement of relations with Azerbaijan and Türkiye and other topics.
