On September 11, the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Sargis Khandanyan received the representatives of the Heinrich Böll Stiftung/Foundation: The President of the Heinrich Böll Foundation Jan-Philipp Albrecht, the Head of the Regional Division of the Foundation Walter Kaufmann and the Director of the Heinrich Böll Foundation South Caucasus Office Sonja Katharina Schiffers.

Welcoming the guests, the Committee Chair highly appreciated the current level of the Armenian-German relations, noting that she highlights the political dialogue with Germany in the context of bilateral, as well as European cooperation development. He underlined the importance of the development inter-parliamentary ties and the cooperation with different German institutes.

At the request of the Foundation representatives Sargis Khandanyan presented the situation on Armenia-Azerbaijan border and in Nagorno Karabakh. Reference was made to the humanitarian crisis created because of closing the Lachin Corridor, as well as the relations with neighbouring countries Iran and Georgia.

Answering the questions of the Foundation representatives, the Committee Chair gave details on the significant progress of democracy and economic growth in Armenia.
