Document on Strategy of Communication Organization on NA Social Media Platforms Signed

The 21st century is an era of technology development and rise of social media. The availability of strategy and rules for this reason is a dictate of time and process. The NA Chief of Staff, Secretary General Davit Arakelyan said about this at the solemn ceremony of signing the documents on strategy of communication organization on the RA National Assembly social media platforms and on security of communication organization and building integrity rules on the RA National Assembly social media platforms.

“The availability of inner legal acts will greatly promote the facilitating of the activities of the National Assembly as a legislative body and the NA Staff on social media platforms,” Davit Arakelyan underscored.

The Program Director of the International Republican Institute (IRI) James De Witt thanked the leadership of the NA Staff for cooperation. The speaker expressed conviction that the strategy of social media will help the NA Staff to effectively communicate with the public. According to him, the International Republican Institute is always ready to support in such initiatives.

The documents were revised jointly with the Public Relations and Communication Department of the RA National Assembly and the International Republican Institute (IRI).

The Head of the NA Public Relations and Communication Department Laura Antonyan and the Press Secretary to the NA President Tsovinar Khachatryan noted that the documents are important working tools for those responsible for the media sphere of parliament. “We have worked for about one year on creation of the documents. At this phase of the information technology we could not but have such strategy of communication organization in parliament,” Laura Antonyan underlined.

“It is very important for us that all these persons, who work in parliament, realize the importance of the structure and manifest themselves on social platforms, in accordance with the structure,” Tsovinar Khachatryan mentioned.

The Social Media Expert, Author of Strategy Artak Harutyunyan presented the strategic significance of the documents. He noted that while revising the documents the experience of other countries in this sphere was also observed.
