At March 22 sitting, the parliament in the second reading debated the initiative aimed at the improvement of the social guarantees of the law enforcement agencies.

The RA Government and the deputies Vladimir Vardanyan and Artur Davtyan propose to make amendments and addendum to the law on Ensuring the Activities, Services and Social Guarantees of Officials and the enclosed presented other laws.

The RA Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Davit Khachatryan informed that substantive debates took place with the participation of the MPs and the concerned bodies on the initiative from the first to the second reading, as a result of which, certain amendments were made, and the package was revised.

The bases of appointing pension with 20-year work experience of the Prosecutor and the persons holding autonomous position in the Anti-Corruption and Investigative Committees and in the SRC Investigative body.

The rapporteur Davit Khachatryan informed that a number of provisions of law were also re-edited.

According to the Deputy Minister, the NA Armenia Faction presented proposals on the initiative, which were partially accepted.

The member of the RA NA Standing (Head) Committee on State and Legal Affairs Lilit Minasyan presented the endorsement of the Committee. She called on her colleagues to vote for the initiative.

The parliament in the second reading debated the packages of the draft laws on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Law on Mercury, on Fauna and the enclosed presented ones authored by the Government, the draft laws on Approving the Annual Report for 2020 on the Implementation of the Programme for of the State Property Privatization for 2017-2020, on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Law on to the RA Tax Code, the package of the draft laws on Making Addendum and Amendments to the RA Law on the RA Flag and the enclosed ones.
