On December 1, in Madrid the RA NA Delegation met with the representatives of the Armenian community of Spain in parallel with the works of the 143^rd four-day Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union being held under the auspice of Parliament of Spain.

During the meeting held in the warm atmosphere the Head of the NA Civil Contract Faction Hayk Konjoryan, the members of the Faction Hasmik Hakobyan and Tsovinar Vardanyan touched upon the concerns of the representatives of the Armenian community. They were mainly connected with the Artsakh conflict settlement, the details of the meeting of the RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the RF President Vladimir Putin and the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev held a few days ago and the joint statement adopted by the results of the meeting. According to the Head of the Faction, Armenia is for solving the problems existing in the region through peaceful means and negotiations. Hayk Konjoryan reaffirmed that the de-blockading of the economic and transport ties of the region is important. He has added that Armenia is for the settlement of the relations with Turkey.

At the meeting the Spanish Armenians raised issues on the regulation Diaspora activities. In this context the parliamentarians informed that, according to the law adopted in the RA National Assembly, Commissioners for Diaspora Affairs would be appointed with the status of an Adviser on voluntary bases.

Let us note that the Spanish Armenian community represent businessmen, doctors, figures of culture and art, who showed considerable assistance to the Armenian people during the days of the 44-day war.
