On September 30, the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on European Integration Arman Yeghoyan received the delegation of Hellenic Parliament visited Armenia within the frameworks of the Twinning Project ‘Strengthening of Capacity of the RA National Assembly to Further Support the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA) Oversight and Implementation’ financed by the European Union with the representatives of the Committee.
Though, the project launched in December of the previous year, however, due to the restrictions of the COVID 19 pandemic, the Greek parliamentarians visited the National Assembly for the first time.
At the meeting where the Heads of Armenian and Hellenic Parliaments of the project Eleni Kanellopoulou and Mari Manukyan were present, the sides discussed the work implemented during the last ten months, evaluated the needs of the Staff of the National Assembly, noted the further works being done and thematic directions of trainings.
An agreement has been reached to organize a public awareness event related to the project until the end of the year, where the members from Hellenic and Armenian Parliaments, high-ranking representatives from the European Parliament, the delegation of the European Union to Armenia and from other interconnected structures will be present.
