RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan Meets with Deputies
1 / 14

On November 16, the RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited the parliament to meet with the representatives of the parliamentary factions.

The RA NA Prosperous Armenia and the RA NA Bright Armenia factions took part in the meeting.

The meeting went on only in the Q & A format with the representatives of the RA NA My Step Faction.

Before answering the questions, the RA Prime Minister announced that he was sorry that the opposition was not present, as this was a good occasion in order all the questions which were voiced from the most different tribunes, and finally to get answers. He expressed hope that the RA NA My Step Faction would voice all the questions

The Head of the executive body answered to the deputies’ more than three dozen questions.

Nikol Pashinyan particularly noted that in the created situation one of the prior problems of the government would be the restoration and the opportunity of holding democratic discussion of security and legality in the Republic of Armenia.

“Our main problem is to create an opportunity for public dialogue in the conditions of democracy, stability and legality. Today, I don’t think we have an opportunity, because we have a problem to restore the security and legality and an opportunity of having democratic discussion,” Nikol Pashinyan said.

According to the Prime Minister, the upcoming most important thing is to support the people of Artsakh to return to Artsakh. The damaged houses, the infrastructures will be restored, and the economy will work. Nikol Pashinyan has underlined that it is the most important thing, and the RA and Artsakh governments shall focus on it.

“A working group has already been in the government led by the Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan for supporting the people of Artsakh being in Armenia. The tendency of the programme will be to be able to get that support in the further phases in Artsakh,” the Prime Minister said.

Touching upon the voicing conversations on the Armenian-Russian relations of the last years, Nikol Pashinyan noted: “I officially say that during five years the position of the Russian Federation in the Nagorno Karabakh has not been changed. The second myth is that an opportunity has been that I will resign and the process of the war will change, but I cowardly have not used of that, preferring the power to the favourable procedure of the military actions,” he said.

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan also announced during the Q & A session that he made a decision on releasing from his office of the RA Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan.

The Head of the government expressed readiness to organize such a new meeting, which, according to him, would be behind closed doors.
