On April 22, the extraordinary sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs moderated by Babken Tunyan was held, during which the draft law on Making Amendment and Addendum to the RA Tax Code authored by the RA NA deputy Mikayel Melkumyan was debated in the second reading was debated.

The key speaker Mikayel Melkumyan has noted that the RA NA Prosperous Armenia Faction has presented a recommendation, according to which, during the state of emergency declared on the basis of the emergency situation, the tax payer or the tax agent is exempted from responsibility, as well as the counting and the use of the penalties is banned during the declared state of emergency and after its end within three months.

The RA NA Bright Armenia Faction proposed not to count penalty for the second, third quarters because of tax obligations fulfilled by the entities in the conditions of state of emergency.

The Chairman of the RA State Revenue Committee Davit Ananyan has noted that in case of the adoption of the recommendations problem of realization will arise.

The draft law was endorsed without presented recommendations, which were refused by voting.
