On March 17, at the sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs moderated by Mane Tandilyan the bill on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Law on Financial System Mediator and the enclosed presented package of bills authored by the RA NA Bright Armenia Faction was debated in the first reading. According to the key speaker Arkady Khachatryan, it is proposed to expand the list of those having liability applying to the Financial System Mediator.

The RA Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank Nerses Yeritsyan presented the endorsement of the Government on the initiative.

The RA NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs endorsed the initiative.

The bill on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Civil Code authored by the RA NA Bright Armenia Faction presented by Arkady Khachatryan was also debated in the first reading.

The MPs mainly welcomed the initiative, emphasized the rise of the financial literacy among the public and talked about not operating the Guarantee Institute.

The key speaker postponed the voting of the draft law up to two months for revising it.

The package of bills on Amending the RA Law on Licensing and the enclosed one by the RA Government were debated in the second reading and endorsed.

The debate of the bill on Amending the RA Law on Bank Secrecy authored by the Government was postponed up to two months.

The Activity Programme for 2020-2021 of the parties of the Memorandum of Cooperation signed on 3 September 2019 between the RA NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs and the RA Scientific-Educational, Business and Non-Governmental Organizations was debated and approved.
