Delegation Led by Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office in Parliament
1 / 5

On June 3, the members of the RA NA delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE PA) led by Hayk Konjoryan met with the delegation led by the Ambassador Rudolf Michalka, Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office for the South Caucasus. The interlocutors discussed issues on the Karabakh problem peaceful settlement process.

Touching upon the further steps connected with the negotiation process, Rudolf Michalka proposed to organize a meeting of the parliamentarians of Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Hayk Konjoryan highly assessed the effective cooperation existing in the frameworks of the OSCE PA. Presenting the position and the approaches of Armenia in the Karabakh conflict settlement, the Head of the delegation reaffirmed the commitment of exclusively peaceful settlement of the problem within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship. The MP underlined that a discussion in any format should not contradict the political lexicon of the Minsk Group tripartite Chairmanship and the Co-Chairs' statements. According to him, Armenia is for the initiative of preparing the societies for peace. At the same time, Hayk Konjoryan highlighted the fact of Artsakh's returning to the table of negotiations.

The sides talked about Armenia-Turkey relations among a number of other issues.
