On May 8, on the initiative of the deputy of the RA NA My Step Faction Aleksey Sandikov a group of veterans participated in the Great Patriotic War visited the parliament.

The former military who had their great contribution to the war, took a tour in the parliament, got acquainted with the parliamentary happenings and observed the work of the regular sitting.

The RA NA Deputy Speaker Lena Nazaryan presiding over the sitting and the MPs warmly welcomed them.

Afterwards in Red Hall of the Parliament, around the tea table, the RA NA Deputy Speaker Alen Simonyan, the deputies and the RA NA Chief of Staff-Secretary General Tigran Galstyan met with the veterans.

Welcoming the guests in the parliament, Alen Simonyan emphasized their great role and importance in the victory of 1941-1945 Great Patriotic War and wished them good health.

“I bow my head before you for what you had done,” Alen Simonyan said.

On the occasion of May holidays the RA NA Speaker Ararat Mirzoyan, the NA deputies Aleksey Sandikov, Gor Gevorgyan, Shirak Torosyan, Vahagn Tevosyan and Vahe Hovhannisyan congratulated the participants of the Great Patriotic War and photos had been taken with them.

On behalf of the guests the Chairman of the Veterans' Association of Armenia Simon Yesayan expressed his gratitude to the MPs.

Souvenirs were handed to the veterans.
