On March 9, the delegation led by the Second Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of the Swedish Kingdom Lotta Johnsson Fornarve  accompanied by the RA NA Deputy Speaker Lena Nazaryan visited the Memorial Complex of the Armenian Genocide victims.

Lotta Johnsson Fornarve laid a wreath to the Monument perpetuating the memory of the Armenian Genocide and laid flowers at the eternal fire, paid tribute to the memory of Holy Martyrs in silence.

The guests also were in the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute, got familiarized with the documents proving Armenian people’s tragedy, observed the exhibits and left a note in the Book of Memory.

The Deputy Speaker of the Swedish Parliament noted that the parliament of her country recognized the Armenian Genocide, adding: “We always remember the Armenian great tragedy, and every year we have ceremonies of memory in our parliament. This year also on April 24 a ceremony to the memory of the Armenian Genocide will take place.”
