On April 6 Hranush Hakobyan, Chairwoman of the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture and Youth met Michael Collins, director of the school of the blind in Boston and adviser Denis Lolley. The guests informed that their institution implements international programmes connected with the education of the blind, medical help and integration to the society: they are in Armenia with the same mission and have hope to implement similar programmes in our republic by the support of executive and legislative bodies and cooperation and NGOs. Expressing thanks to the guests for their humanitarian mission, Mrs. Hakobyan familiarized them with the legislative solutions of the key problems of the disabled, presented the work done by the state and non-state organizations directed to the improvement of the life of the blind and integration to the society, existing difficulties and expressed readiness to promote the representatives of the new programme to fulfill that humanitarian important work.
