At Sitting of RA NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs and Protection of Human Rights

At March 15 sitting, the RA NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs and Protection of Human Rights debated a number of draft laws and legislative packages concerning the electoral, judicial and criminal procedure spheres.

The RA First Deputy Minister of Justice Artur Hovhannisyan presented in the first reading the package of the draft laws on Making Amendments and Addenda to the constitutional law the RA Electoral Code, on Amending the RA Code on Administrative Infringements and on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Criminal Code.

The Committee Chair Gevorg Kostanyan and the Committee Deputy Chair Rustam Makhmudyan highlighted the adoption of the legislative package.

As a result of debate, the Committee members endorsed the legislative package for including it in the draft agendas of the session and the regular sittings.

The draft law on Making Amendment and Addendum to the RA Law on Compulsory Enforcement of Judicial Acts authored by the MP Mihran Poghosyan was debated in the first reading.

The MPs Gevorg Petrosyan and Rustam Makhmudyan expressed their viewpoints on the draft law.

The Standing Committee in the first reading debated the draft law on Amending the RA Criminal Procedure.

The MPs Karine Atshemyan and Artak Zeynalyan expressed their viewpoints on the draft law.

The deputies endorsed the legislative initiative for including it in the draft laws of the agendas of the RA NA session and regular sittings.

The Committee members in the second reading considered and endorsed the draft law on Making Addendum to the RA Criminal Procedure Code.
