On March 3 the RA National Assembly Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov took part in the conference of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (IPA) of the CIS in Saint Petersburg. On the same day the tête-à-tête talk between the NA Deputy Speaker and Sergey Narishkin, Speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, took place. Mr Sharmazanov noted that Armenia was concerned about holding the elections in compliance with fair, democratic and international standards in Russia. The parties highlighted the Armenian-Russian strategic partnership and the cooperation between the two parliaments. At the end of the meeting the NA Deputy Speaker presented to the Speaker of the State Duma the book telling about the cultural monuments of Nagorno Karabakh by the specialist on monuments Samvel Karapetyan.
