On March 23 RA National Assembly Chairman Artur Baghdasaryan received Marco Clemente, the Italian Ambassador to the Republic of Armenia.

The parties addressed the forthcoming visit of the NA Chairman to Italy. Mr. Clemente pointed to interest towards the visit in Italy, voluminous preliminary activities have been completed and the activities on setting up the Italy-Armenia Parliamentary Friendship Group are underway at the proposal of Pier Ferdinando Casini, the Speaker of the Italian Chamber of Deputies. NA Chairman is expected to meet representatives of the Italian authorities. Issues relating to promoting political, cultural, scientific-educational, economic relations will be brought up.

The National Assembly delegation will also visit Toscana and Friuli Venezia Giulia within the framework of the official visit to Italy.
