On December 29 RA NA Speaker Mr. Hovik Abrahamyan received the Ambassador of Belarus to the Republic of Armenia Mr. Stepan Sukhorenko.

Emphasizing the development of the inter-parliamentary relations of the two countries the NA Speaker Mr. Hovik Abrahamyan noted the importance of the establishment of the committee sitting on inter-parliamentary cooperation, which is planned to be held in March 2010. At the same time the sides discussed the details of the official visit of RA NA Speaker Mr. Hovik Abrahamyan to be held in the first quarter of 2010 to the Republic of Belarus.

During the meeting both sides highlighted the development of trade-economic, scientific-educational and cultural relations, to which the inter-parliamentary relations can promote.

Mr. Abrahamyan asked to convey his New Year congratulations and wishes through the Ambassador to the Speakers of the Council and House of Representatives of the Republic of Belarus and people of Belarus.
