On October 31 RA NA President Artur Baghdasaryan received Bernard Schreiner, PACE President, arrived in Yerevan within the frameworks of the festivity of the 15th anniversary of the parliament of the Republic of Armenia.
The Parliament President informed Mr. Schreiner informed about the reforms taking place in Armenia, in particular, according to the schedule on the undertaken obligations of Armenia in PACE, the process of the constitutional reforms, referendum designated on November 27, the goal of which is the political and economic progress of Armenia. Artur Baghdasaryan noted that in the democratic processes the support of the European institutions is great, in particular, PACE, Venice Commission.
Mr. Schreiner thanked the National Assembly in the name of Rene van der Linden, PACE President, for the steps made on the road of Euro-Integration, which promoted the deepening of democracy and wished success in the process of adopting the constitutional reforms, which will take Armenia one step forward.
During the meeting issues pertaining to other developments of the region were also discussed.
