On September 27, the RA NA Speaker Ara Babloyan received the Minister for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the United Kingdom Alan Duncan.
Welcoming the guest, the Head of the Parliament noted that Armenia had passed into the parliamentary system of government, and in that issue the path passed also by the United Kingdom was the best experience. Underlining the favourable cooperation with the Embassy of the United Kingdom, Ara Babloyan highlighted the initiatives being implemented in Armenia by the Ambassador, especially touched upon the efficiency of the programme aimed at the capacity building by the RA National Assembly.
Thanking for the reception, Alan Duncan emphasized the cooperation existing between the two countries, the parliamentarians’ active contacts and the exchange of experience. He has noted that the United Kingdom is coming out of the European Union, but never out of Europe.
At the meeting other issues of bilateral interest were also discussed.
