At September 19 sitting moderated by Armen Ashotyan the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations debated and the endorsed the RA draft law on Ratifying the Minamata Convention (with enclosed statement) on Mercury signed in Kumamoto on 10 October 2013 for including it in the draft law of the RA NA regular sittings’ agenda.
The key speaker, the RA First Deputy Minister of Nature protection Erik Grigoryan presented details on the regulations under proposal.
The co-reporter Armen Ashotyan positively assessed the legislative initiative, noting that by the Convention the RA assumed obligations are consonant with the RA Constitution.
