Head of RA NA Way Out Faction Receives Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Armenia

On June 28, the Head of the RA NA Way Out Faction Nikol Pashinyan received Judith Farnworth, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Armenia.

Welcoming the guest, the Head of the Way Out Faction Nikol Pashinyan highly assessed the possibilities of the parliamentary effective cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries and highlighted the development of the inter-parliamentary cooperation in different formats.

The interlocutors underlined the importance of the parliamentary diplomacy and in that context, the activation of the contacts and the exchange of experience between the Parliamentary Friendship Groups. The possibilities of cooperation with the Embassy of the United Kingdom directed to the capacity-building of the parliament were also underlined. Mr Pashinyan emphasized the programmes being implemented in Armenia and particularly the programme on the capacity-building of the RA National Assembly, and its aim is to develop the parliamentary oversight mechanisms and the capacities of the Staff.

Both sides discussed issues and possibilities concerning the further cooperation.
